U of W x Wesmen Athletics Mural
HLF partnered with the University of Winnipeg and Wesmen Athletics to honour two Indigenous student-athletes and community leaders with a mural installation as a part of Truth and Reconciliation Day and Nuit Blanche Winnipeg 2022.
The mural
by Emmanuel Jarus features Wesmen basketball players Robyn Boulanger and Josh Gandier, who are great achievers and mentors on the University of Winnipeg campus and surrounding communities

Mural Unveiling Ceremony
HLF celebrated the unveiling with a community smudge held by CommUNITY.204 and Sabe Peace Walkers and a free lunch provided by Deeks Dog House on Friday, September 23.

Nuit Blanche Paint Night
We invited attendees and students to enjoy a night of painting, good eats, and a chance to connect on Saturday, September 24.
