JDC West is the most prestigious undergraduate business competition in Western Canada, hosting 1,300 attendees and uniting over 650 delegates. Virtually hosted by Asper School of Business in 2021, HLF is a proud Silver Charity Partner of Team Toba 2021. This partnership supports the Chillin’ for Charity event put on by Team Toba in effort to raise money for their charity of choice: United Way Winnipeg.

HLF partnered with renowned Canadian muralist, Emmanuel Jarus, on a community art project as a part of HLF’s goal to create murals in various schools. The first series of murals included:

- MET Seven Oaks - A mural of an Indigenous female who is a recent graduate of MET Seven Oaks
- Edmund Partridge Community School - A mural of a Bull Dog, the EP School Mascot
- HLF Classroom - A mural of a deer

As a part of this project, Jarus mentored students from each of the participating schools and they worked side by side with him to create the murals.
