Junior Warrior Scholarship

The Junior Warrior Scholarship is focused on helping high school students in Grade’s 11 and 12. This scholarship opportunity is aimed at teaching students the fundamentals behind self-care and positive psychology.

Program Requirements

 

 In-Class Training

Mental Warrior Training Series © – 25 Hours

The Mental Warrior Training Program was developed by the Higher Learning Foundation team. The series includes the following workshops:

• Intro to Self-Care by Trisha Kulathungam (5 Hours)
Flow – Emotional Intelligence by Dr. Raymond Lavoie (5 Hours)
The Science of Happiness by Dr. Raymon Lavoie (5 Hours)
Navigating Social Media Mindfully by Trisha Kulathungam (5 Hours)
Mental Warrior Retreat – (5 Hours)
A one-day retreat focused on:
○ Mindfulness Techniques
○ Meditation Techniques
○ Breathing Techniques
○ Yoga Techniques
○ Journaling


Self-Study

25 Hours

The scholarship candidates will be required to incorporate 25 hours of
self-care into their routine and use the Higher Learning Journal to keep track of their experience.


Volunteering

15 Hours

The scholarship candidates are required to volunteer in the community through HLF’s community initiatives.
